CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police have arrested three men in connection with a recent prostitution sting.
CPD’s Special Operations Unit conducted an operation targeting those who solicit sexual services in exchange for money using Backpage.com.
Police posted an ad online and the suspects who answered the ad negotiated various prices for the services and agreed to meet the the undercover officer at a designated location.
Police say prostitution is often linked to other crimes such as robbery, assault, drugs, and human trafficking.
The three men who were arrested are (charges in caption):
DONNIE MCELHANEY, 36, PATRONIZING PROSTITUTION, BOND: $500
EDWIN SKERRETT, 36, PATRONIZING PROSTITUTION, SIMPLE POSSESSION, UNLAWFUL DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, BOND: $1500
BRIAN TAYLO, 36, PATRONIZING PROSTITUTION, BOND: $500
