CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Three people were injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle Monday afternoon on Highway 76 (Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway) near Old Farmers Rd.

A crash report states that the driver of a Chevrolet Cobalt was attempting to cross the parkway and struck a motorcycle that was traveling eastbound.

The Chevy spun off the road into a ditch before coming to rest on a hill, and the motorcycle spun onto a shoulder of the Old Farmers Road crossover.

The driver and passenger of the Chevy (72-year-old Helen Gordon and 73-year-old Linda Hendon) were transported to Gateway Medical Center for precautionary reasons.

The motorcycle rider, 31-year-old Lorenzo B. Hardyway, was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he is in stable condition.

His passenger, 26-year-old Saday Wells, was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Medical Center where she is in critical but stable condition.

Charges in the crash are pending.

This is one of three crashes involving motorcycles this week.
