CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With a supportive crowd filling much of the National Guard Armory, the “Fight for a Knight” wrestling benefit brought the community together to support the Kenwood Middle School families impacted by the March 27 bus crash.

The benefit featured seven matches, a silent auction and concessions. Before the matches began, there was a ten-bell salute and moment of silence for Zoe Davis and Arianna Pearson, who were killed in the crash.

Former WWE announcer Troy Beasley announced the matches throughout the night, and all participating professional wrestlers donated their time to perform.

Texas Roadhouse staff sold $5 bags of peanuts as donations for the Kenwood Middle families, and gave out coloring books and coupons.

Billy Pace, who helped organize the event and founded Billy Pace Memorial Championship Wrestling, told Clarksville Now he expects to have all proceeds counted and delivered to the CMC Education Foundation by July 1. The foundation will then distribute the funds to the students and teachers involved in the crash.
