CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A woman was stabbed to death in a house in south Clarksville early Monday morning.

At approximately 2 a.m., Clarksville Police responded to a home on Eastern Hills Drive for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, they found a 34-year-old woman who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien on Monday afternoon. Her name has not been released.

The suspect, 35-year-old Luis Alejandro Parra Montiel, had fled before officers arrived. With assistance from the Tennessee Highway Patrol Aviation Unit, Montrel was found in a wooded area and arrested without further incident.

“This incident has been determined to be domestic-related,” Beaubien said.

Eastern Hills Drive is in the neighborhood roughly behind the Madison Street Publix.
