CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The West Creek Coyotes and Northwest Vikings flag football teams were given the opportunity to compete as the halftime entertainment for the Nashville Kats arena league game inside F&M Bank Arena Saturday Night.
“My girls enjoyed the opportunity to play in front of a crowd with indoor arena football. With us being a TSSAA-sanctioned sport, the opportunities are growing for the girls to get college rides. It was nice to see all the servicemen and the community coming together. We would like to thank the Nashville Kats association for the invite, and our wonderful personal photographer, Roland Woodworth, who helped to set this up for the team.”
The opportunity to play in front of 4,000-plus people was one that neither team could pass up. Both coaches also got to meet the head coach of the Kats, former Titans head coach Jeff Fisher. The fastest growing sport in the state of Tennessee once again was showcased in front of a roaring crowd.
“It was an awesome experience. The girls loved playing in front of a big crowd. As Coaches, we love that we continue to find ways to get more eyes on Girls’ Flag Football. Plus, an event like this gets our girls more exposure for possible college scholarships. Hopefully, we get more opportunities with the Nashville Kats in the future.”
