CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Have fun at the Science Fiction and Fantasy Expo, attend the Little Miss Mistletoe Pageant, or watch the Veteran’s Day Parade this weekend in Clarksville.
Q108 Vintage Fair & Holiday Marketplace: Come sip Beachaven wines at 1100 Dunlop Lane and explore handmade and vintage items Sunday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The Little Miss Mistletoe Pageant will start at 10 a.m. outside the winery. Admission for the vintage fair is $5 for adults and children ages 12 and under are free. Beachaven Winery wine club members receive free entry plus one guest to the Vintage Fair. Pets are not allowed, and service animals need proper paperwork to enter.
Veteran’s Day Parade: The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9 a.m. in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street downtown. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at the corner of North Eighth and College Streets. This year’s Veterans Day parade theme is “Salute to Veterans in Law Enforcement.”
Science Fiction and Fantasy Expo: The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library will host its 11th annual Science Fiction and Fantasy Expo on Saturday from 1-5 p.m. This year will feature a silent DJ dance party, cosplay contest and tabletop gaming, plus the Star Wars 501st and Rebel Legions. Attendees are encouraged to support their favorite fandom by arriving in costume; of course costumes are optional. The library is at 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 501. The expo is free and open to the public.
Holiday Sips & Strolls: Miss Lucille’s Marketplace is holding an after-hours shopping event for guests to get first dibs on new holiday inventory. Shopping starts Friday and lasts from 6-9 p.m. at 2231-L Madison St. Themed cocktails will be available for purchase from bars set up throughout the store. Admission is free.
