CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – It’s hard to believe, but we’ve reached the halfway point of the Tennessee high school football season. Let’s take a look at the matchups this week and the records of each team in Clarksville up to this point in the season.
Clarksville Now Game of the Week: East Robertson Indians (4-0) @ Kirkwood High Cobras (4-0)
The number three team in class 2A, East Robertson, travels to Kirkwood High School to face the Cobras who are ranked as the number six team in class 5A.
In a battle of undefeated, Kirkwood High and junior quarterback Miles Reding will look to make a statement in one of the biggest games in the state of Tennessee on Friday Night.

Rossview High Hawks (0-4) @ West Creek Coyotes (0-4)
The Hawks and Coyotes haven’t had the start to the season they envisioned to begin the year; however, both of them have the opportunity to get in the win column for the first time this season on Friday night.
When these two teams met up last season, Rossview pulled out a 31-7 win. So, it should be interesting to watch this region matchup play out in the end.

McGavock Raiders (1-3) @ Clarksville High Wildcats (2-2)
Clarksville High has knocked off two consecutive region opponents in Rossview High and John Overton to get back to .500 on the season.
The Wildcats win against John Overton was highlighted by running back Ahvare Galbreath, who was named Clarksville Now Player of the Week for his performance.
Now, Clarksville returns home to Hilda J. Richardson Field looking to stay undefeated in the region.
James Lawson Lighting (1-2) @ Northeast High Eagles (2-2)
The Lighting have had a tough schedule to open the season, playing quality opponents in Brentwood Academy, Creek Wood and Wilson Central.
They now hit the road for another tough test in the Northeast High Eagles, who are on a two-game skid after starting the season 2-0.
Montgomery Central Indians (1-3) @ Hickman County Bulldogs (1-3)
After a two-game home stand, the Indians hit the road again for a contest against the Hickman County Bulldogs.
Both teams have one common opponent, Harpeth, which both Montgomery Central and Hickman County defeated by double digits.
Pearl Cohn Firebirds (0-4) @ Kenwood High Knights (2-2)
Don’t let the Firebirds’ 0-4 record fool you; Pearl Cohn’s first four contests have been against some of the top programs in the state, including reigning class 6A state champion Oakland High.
The Knights return home after spoiling West Creek’s homecoming and look to string two wins in a row for the first time this season.
Clarksville Academy Cougars (2-2) @ Friendship Christian Commanders (3-1)
The Cougars are riding a two-game losing streak after starting their season 2-0.
In their second region game of the 2025-26 season, Clarksville Academy looks to get back into the win column against the Friendship Christian Commanders.

Todd County Rebels (1-3) @ Fort Campbell Falcons (2-2)
The Falcons return home to Fryar Stadium after a successful 2-0 road trip over the last two weeks of the season.
The Rebels are Fort Campbell’s first region matchup of the season, and this game will be huge for future playoff seeding.
Northwest High Vikings (2-2) @ Dickson County Cougars (3-1)
Lastly, the Northwest Vikings are traveling to Dickson County for a region matchup against the Cougars.
The Vikings are coming off a 12-0 win over Montgomery Central last week and are looking to win two consecutive games for the first time since the 2019 season.
