CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Now that fall break is over, it’s time to return to the gridiron on Friday nights for Clarksville-area high school football. We’ve got some important games on the slate with only two weeks remaining in the 2025-26 regular season. Let’s take a look at this week’s matchups.

Game of the Week: Antioch Bears (8-0) @ Clarksville High Wildcats (6-2)

This game between the Bears and the Wildcats will decide who gets the region title and the number one overall seed come playoff time.

Clarksville High is on a heater, riding a six-game win streak after starting out 0-2. Meanwhile, Antioch has an unblemished record this season, led by four-star quarterback Andre Adams, a favorite to win the Mr. Football Award for his class.

Kirkwood High Cobras (7-1) @ Northwest High Vikings (2-6)

Kirkwood High travels to the west side of Clarksville for an important region matchup on Friday. The Cobras have clinched a playoff berth but need this win to keep pace with Henry County for a region title, while Northwest is on a four-game losing streak after starting the season 2-2.

However, the Vikings are not out of the playoff race yet and could make a late push these last two contests.

Kenwood High Knights (5-3) @ Henry County Patriots (4-3)

Kenwood has clinched a playoff spot and are still alive to host a home playoff game as they currently have a region record of 2-1.

This week will be a tough test, as they travel to Paris to face Henry County, a place where Montgomery County teams have historically struggled. Henry County will attempt to win to set up a region title game next week with Kirkwood.

Dickson County Cougars (5-3) @ Northeast High Eagles (2-6)

This is, in effect, a loser-leaves-town game. Three of the four spots in region 7-5A have been clinched, and Dickson County can clinch that last spot with a win.

However, Northeast High can match the amount of region wins the Cougars have with a head-to-head win, giving them a tiebreaker if they win this week and the next.

Overton Bobcats (1-7) @ West Creek Coyotes (0-8)

Both these teams are eliminated from playoff contention, so this one is a battle of pride.

West Creek will look to defend their home turf on their senior night to earn their first win of the year against the 1-7 Overton Bobcats.

Montgomery Central Indians (1-7) @ Creek Wood Red Hawks (2-6)

After a 0-2 start in region play, the Indians still have time to make a playoff push, with two key region games to end the season.

That starts this week, with an old school rival in Creek Wood, who most recently fell to Kirkwood 35-14 in their last game before their bye week.

Rossview High Hawks (4-4) @ Nolensville Knights (6-2)

The Hawks have clinched a playoff spot and face a strong non-region opponent in Nolensville this week.

While this game won’t affect any postseason seeding, the Hawks will look to continue their four-game win streak and keep their momentum moving forward as November closens.

Clarksville Academy (3-5) @ Franklin Christian Academy Eagles (4-4)

Clarksville Academy has been eliminated from playoff contention, but ends the season with two region contests, looking to finish the year strong.

The first of those two games will be a road test against Franklin Christian, as the Cougars looks to spoil the Eagles playoff hopes.

Fort Campbell Falcons (3-5) @ Mayfield Cardinals (7-1)

Now that they’ve returned from their temporary shutdown, the Falcons are on a three-game losing streak, and it doesn’t get any easier from here.

The Falcons secure a spot in the postseason with a win in one of their last two games, but the first test is against Kentucky powerhouse Mayfield, who is undefeated in the region play.
