The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for heat Wednesday, June 12.
Temperatures in the mid 90’s combined with high humidity will push the heat index to 101, increasing the risk of heat related illness.
If you will be outside today, you are advised to wear light-colored, light-weight clothing, take regular breaks and drink plenty of water, and never leave pets or children in a vehicle.
