Update 4:13 p.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Montgomery County until 5 p.m. Severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles east of Big Rock to near Waverly, moving east at 30 mph with possible 60 mph wind gusts. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – We have a sunny weekend ahead, but we have to get past Thursday first. Montgomery and surrounding counties are under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 9 p.m. A Watch means that conditions are right for a severe storm to form. If that happens, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning will be issued.
