CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – There’s a risk of strong storms in Montgomery and surrounding counties this afternoon.
“A few strong storms will be possible west of I-65 late this afternoon into the early evening,” the National Weather Service alert said. “The main threat with any strong storms will be gusty winds.”

Today: Partly cloudy in the morning, then partly sunny with a slight chance of showers early in the afternoon. Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 80s. South winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation 50 percent.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then partly cloudy after midnight. Lows in the lower 60s. South winds 5 to 15 mph shifting to the southwest up to 5 mph after midnight.
