CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A heat advisory has been issued on the Fourth of July for Montgomery County by the National Weather Service until 7 p.m. The heat index could reach as high as 106 today. In addition, there is a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon.

As for weekend weather, there is an 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms on Friday leading into sunny skies the remainder of the weekend.

Temperatures will cool down with daytime highs in the 80s and overnight lows in the 60s.
