CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The annual Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day parade was held Saturday morning in downtown Clarksville, featuring a variety of local schools, businesses, and organizations supporting the area’s veterans.
The theme of this year’s parade was a “Salute to Veterans in Healthcare.” The parade was preceded by a speech from US Army retired Major General Walt Lord, who now serves as vice president, Government Division, at FileBank Inc.
ClarksvilleNow’s own Lee Erwin emceed the event, and the Fort Campbell Army band played music throughout the parade, which went for about an hour and a half from start to finish.
The parade was recorded and livestreamed for those who wished to watch from home instead of in-person; however, spectators were allowed at the event with masks and social distancing.
