Vernon Eugene Albright, age 92, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Arcadia Senior Living. Eugene “Winky” Albright was born October 8, 1930, in Clarksville, TN to the late Laury Martin Albright and Ruby Farmer Albright. He was also preceded in death by wife Regina Albright; sisters Lena Welch and Hazel Head; brothers Thomas Albright, Alfred Albright, Billy Dean Albright, Buford Albright; son-in-law Tom Davis.
Eugene is survived by daughters Debbie (Donn) McKnight, Diane (Terry) Nolen and Elaine Davis and 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Eugene lived in the Shady Grove community of Montgomery County and was a 1949 Graduate of Clarksville High School (CHS). In 1950 he married Regina Morrow, and they had three daughters. He loved God, his family, friends and his church family. He joined Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in 1944 and was an active member on various boards and committees. He was co-owner of C&M Supply Company and later owner of Albright Plumbing Supply, Inc. Eugene was also a Montgomery County Magistrate, Member of Masonic Lodge #89, an Al Menah Shriner, Board Member of Clarksville Ajax Senior Citizens, and was on the Tax Equalization Board for many years. He was always willing to help others and will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Pastor Nate Partee officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
Pallbearers will be Mike Albright, Randall Albright, Gary Albright, David Welch, Donn McKnight and Terry Nolen.
