CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department is investigating the deaths of two people found dead in a home at Cedar Crest Mobile Home Park Tuesday night.
According to a news release, officers were dispatched to conduct a welfare check at the residence around 7:38 p.m. Knocking on the front door caused it to open, and the officers discovered the bodies of an adult male and an adult female.
The cause of death was not immediately apparent and has not yet been determined. No suspects are currently being sought in this case. The woman reportedly had numerous health problems.
The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of family. Homicide detectives said next of kin notification has been delayed because they’re working on obtaining positive identification of the deceased.
The initial autopsy results were inconclusive and detectives are awaiting toxicology test results.
The investigation is ongoing.
