HOPKINSVILLE, Ky (CLARSKVILLENOW) – Two people were arrested in Hopkinsville Wednesday night, July 31 after reports of gunfire on Fort Campbell Blvd.
Police responded to a report claiming a vehicle headed south on Fort Campbell Blvd had fired a weapon. The pair was stopped by Sgt. Ed Eastman near the Nelson Drive intersection at approximately 10 p.m.
The driver, Nicholas White, 28, was reported to have slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. Opened beer bottles were found in the floorboards of the vehicle.
Police also found a loaded handgun. The ammo reportedly had notches etched in the tips.
Both White and his passenger, Donna White, 35, were arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment. White was given additional charges of DUI, possession of an open alcohol container and use of restricted ammunition during commission of a felony.
White was booked into Christian County Detention Center on $5000 bond.
