Volunteers are encouraged to paint unique bowls to be sold at a fundraiser at area churches later this month. Each bowl represents a meal to help feed the less fortunate in our community.
During the culminating event on Feb. 26, local churches will open their doors to ticket holders to offer a simple meal of hot soup and bread to raise money for the organization. Trinity Episcopal, Grace Lutheran, and New Providence Methodist Churches will serve lunch while dinner will be served at Immaculate Conception Catholic, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, First Presbyterian, Sango United Methodist, and Salem United Methodist Churches.
Tickets for Empty Bowls are $15 and can be purchased at any of the host churches or Sango Pharmacy on Madison St. Tickets for Salem United Methodist Church can be picked up at the Medicine Shoppe on Highway 48. You can also purchase tickets online.
