UPDATE: Interstate 24 back open after wreck in Clarksville

Update, 4:20 p.m.: The interstate is back open and traffic is returning to normal.

Update, 3:55 p.m.: Traffic is backed up past Exit 1 to mile marker 3.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Interstate 24 westbound has been shut down after a wreck just past Exit 1.

At 3:35 p.m., traffic was backed up to the exit. Traffic remains slow north of the state line due to ongoing construction.
