TRAFFIC ALERT: Interstate 24 shut down by wreck in Clarksville

Update, 6:20 p.m.: Traffic is moving but remains slow, and is still backed up around Exit 11.

Previously:

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Interstate 24 westbound was shut down by a wreck Friday evening.

At about 5:20 p.m., both westbound lanes were closed at about mile marker 7, according to emergency dispatch. Traffic was backed up past Exit 8 and Exit 11.
