UPDATE: Traffic clearing on Interstate 24 through Clarksville

Update, 4:15 p.m.: Traffic is mostly back to normal.

Update, 3:15 p.m.: Traffic is clear from Exit 1 to 4. It’s still slow going between Exit 4 and just past Exit 8.

Update, 2:45 p.m.: Traffic is now moving slowly from Exit 4 to mile marker 9. It’s still backed up from Exit 1 to 4.

Update, 1:25 p.m.: Traffic is still backed up from about mile marker 9 to Exit 1.

Previously:

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Interstate 24 was at a standstill through Clarksville Thursday morning.

At 11:15 a.m., eastbound traffic was backed up from about mile marker 9 to Exit 1.

TDOT has been doing pothole repairs all week, and has been doing milling and repaving work on the interstate as well.
