NASHVILLE, Tenn. — WKRN News 2 says that multiple media reports confirm that the Tennessee Titans reached a deal that would name Jon Robinson as the team’s general manager.
Robinson is currently the Director of Player Personnel for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Titans began the search for a new general manager after announcing they were not renewing the contract of Ruston Webster, who was let go after four years on the job.
The search for his replacement included six external candidates in Chris Ballard, Jon Robinson, Chris Polian, Ted Sundquist, Marc Ross and Martin Mayhew.
Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk skipped the NFL’s owner meetings in Houston Tuesday to continue work on the GM search.
Titans interim head coach Mike Mularkey will interview for the open head coaching position Friday at Saint Thomas Sports Park, according to WKRN News 2.
