Contributed commentary from Robert Navarro:
In reference to the house fire in Griffey Estates off Peachers Mill Road, I have noticed this for some time now: The new subdivisions that are being built with these tall houses are too close.
As you can see in that article, when one catches on fire it will definitely spread to the next house. As tall as these houses are, the flames will shoot out a couple hundred feet, easy. I don’t know how people can’t see this. They will spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on these houses only to go up in flames if your neighbor’s house catches on fire.
Is there not a building code for this? All I see is greed on the developers’ part, trying to cram as many houses as possible in an area.
