CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Bright paint was flying, music was bumping and thousands of people were smiling as runners participated in the Color Vibe 5k run and party in Clarksville Saturday morning at Beachaven Vineyards and Winery.

The participants ran, walked and jogged the 5k course while getting colorfully decorated with vibrant paint to help add energy and excitement to the fun race.

The runners were not done after the race as they also celebrated the completion of the 3.1 mile fun-run with a colorful after party. The Color Vibe participants laughed, smiled and danced to the live DJ’s bumping mixes while throwing vibrant paint around in “color throws” to cap off the experience.

“The run was great and the after party was amazing,” said Karen Simmons. “I had so much fun … Everyone just fed off of each other’s energy.”

Sophia Rios was running in her first 5k and said she had a blast.

“It was pretty epic on all sorts of levels,” said Chris Bailey. “You come out and throw a bunch of paint around and you dance for a good cause … What is more fun than that?”

Portions of the proceeds from the race were donated to the Montgomery County Friends of the Shelter, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to dogs-in-need around the Montgomery County area.
