OAK GROVE, KY. – The Tennessee-Kentucky Association of the United States Army Chapter (AUSA) held a breakfast to honor retired Army Colonel Ted Crozier Sr., Thursday, August 22 at Valor Hall in Oak Grove, Kentucky. Close to 175 people turned out from Clarksville, Hopkinsville, Fort Campbell and Oak Grove to honor the service that Crozier has given to Fort Campbell and the community.
Guest Speaker at the breakfast was retired Major General Robert Dees who served with Crozier at Fort Campbell and talked about working with him. “I want to personally thank you. I was a young no account Lieutenant in the headquarters and you mentored me as I observed you, you mentored me as we interacted with one another. So I just personally thank you,” said Dees.
A new award from AUSA was also begun Thursday which is known as the Ted Crozier Corporate Membership Award. Crozier was the first Commander of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade when it was known as the 160th Aviation Group and the 101st Aviation Group in 1968 and 1969. Crozier also served as Mayor of Clarksville from 1978-1986.
