CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The suspect who was arrested in a machete attack / robbery of a store clerk in Clarksville received an additional charge on Thursday afternoon, according to a CPD news release.

23-year-old Aaron Boodoosingh, who was arrested in connection with the June 30 especially aggravated robbery at the EZ Market, located at 1801 E. Boy Scout Road, has received an additional charge from the Clarksville Police Department, said CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien.

“As part of the ongoing investigation, Detective Lockerman conducted a follow-up interview with the victim and obtained additional information regarding the attack. Based on the information obtained, Boodoosingh has been charged with Criminal Attempted Homicide,” Beaubien said.

“Boodoosingh was previously charged with Especially Aggravated Robbery and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. He is currently being held without bond on the Criminal Attempted Homicide charge.”

Beaubien said that the victim has been released from the hospital and is continuing to recover from the injuries sustained during the attack. He also said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
