CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A strong thunderstorm was moving toward Montgomery County Friday evening.

At 5:43 p.m., Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles northeast of McEwen, or 12 miles northwest of Dickson, moving northeast at 20 mph with wind gusts up to 40 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

“Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects,” the NWS said.
