CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A strong thunderstorm was moving across Montgomery County Monday night.

At 8:44 p.m., Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles northeast of Erin, moving east at 55 mph with wind gusts up to 40 mph and possible half inch hail, according to the National Weather Service.

“Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible,” the NWS alert said. “If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.”

If a stronger storm is indicated, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning will be issued.
