CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Regardless of the results this week, the 2025 season for high school sports will end. While it’s bittersweet, four Clarksville-area teams have titles to chase in Murfreesboro, including three baseball teams and one softball team.
Clarksville area baseball
Clarksville Academy, Clarksville High and Rossview High are all set to begin their state tournament journeys on Tuesday.
All brackets are double elimination, until the championship game, which is a one-game, winner-takes-all at Middle Tennessee State University. In the class 4A tournament, Rossview plays the Siegel Stars at 6:30 at Siegel High School. The two teams have met twice this season, with Rossview winning both matchups. Their rival across Warfield Boulevard, Clarksville High, begins their run against Oak Ridge at 6:30 p.m. at Oakland High School.

In division II class-A, the Cougars of Clarksville Academy have already played their way into the state final four after defeating Evangelical Christian in the Elite Eight at home. For this bracket, it is double elimination the whole way through, with the championship game and the if necessary, game at MTSU. Their first matchup is against Knoxville Grace Christian Academy at 6:30 at Middle Tennessee Christian School.
Rossview High softball
Rossview High is the lone softball team still standing in the Clarksville-area. Their bracket is set up the same as Clarksville High and Rossview High baseball, being double elimination until the championship game at MTSU. They start their state tournament journey against Dobyns Bennett High School on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., at the Murfreesboro Starplex Sports Complex. They will play on Wednesday regardless of the result.
