CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The City of Clarksville is planning to take over operations of the nonprofit Ajax Turner Senior Citizens Center starting July 1, placing it under the Parks & Recreation Department with existing and improved programs.
Funding for the changes is part of the City of Clarksville FY2027 budget, which the City Council will need to approve in the coming weeks. Several advocates are calling for the City to walk back its plans and let the Senior Citizens Board continue operations as they are.
