CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The driver of the Nissan Altima involved in the two-vehicle crash on Purple Heart Parkway on May 28 has died as a result of his injuries, five days after the death of his passenger.
On Wednesday morning at about 11:21 a.m., CPD responded to a two-vehicle crash on Purple Heart Parkway at Jordan Road, according to previous reports.
According to CPD spokesman Scott Beaubien, the collision involved a Nissan Altima and a second vehicle. The roadway was shut down to allow for Air Evac/LifeFlight helicopters to land and evacuate those involved in the crash. Three occupants from the Nissan were transported by medical helicopter to Nashville-area hospitals.
Tuesday morning, CPD was informed by family members that 69-year-old Henry McClure, the driver of the Nissan Altima, has passed away from his injuries. Five days earlier, on May 29, the front passenger of the Altima, 69-year-old David Frazier, died as a result of his injuries. The third passenger of the Altima was last reported as being in stable condition.
The two occupants of the second vehicle sustained only minor injuries.
