CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Screaming Eagles Youth Cycling Team celebrated an outstanding 2026 mountain biking season with finishes at the Tennessee State Championship race in Chattanooga on Oct. 25, including a third-place team finish, individual podium performances, and recognition for riders who dedicated their time to improving mountain bike trails.

Competing in the fifth and final race of the Tennessee season, the Screaming Eagles earned third place overall in the Division 2 Middle School team competition, capping off months of hard work, determination, and teamwork.

Among the team’s standout performances:

  • Luke Doggett completed an undefeated JV1 season, taking first place in all five races and securing his second consecutive State Championship title in the division.
  • Parker Shortt, one of the team’s youngest riders, earned fourth place in the 6th Grade Girls race, improving on her fifth-place finish at Race 4.
  • Quincy Watters and Lucas Pischl both finished among the top 10 riders in the 7th Grade Boys division in the overall season standings.

Beyond the racecourse, three Screaming Eagles riders were recognized with Teen Trail Corps awards for their dedication to maintaining and improving mountain bike trails.

  • Daniel Doggett: 33 hours
  • Luke Doggett: 18 hours
  • Mya Gill: 6 hours

Together, these riders contributed 57 hours of trail stewardship, helping maintain and improve the trails enjoyed by the broader mountain biking community.

With many new riders joining the team in 2026, the season brought significant growth in technical skills, confidence, endurance, and sportsmanship.

“Getting to be a part of this organization and watch not only my riders but all of the riders reach their goals has been super fun. As a coach, we guide them, but they are the ones who put in the hard work all season long. It’s not only enjoyable watching them grow and learn. But it’s most rewarding watching them build friendships,” said Ronda Jacoby, coach of the Screaming Eagles Youth Cycling team.

While the Tennessee racing season has concluded, the competition isn’t over for the Screaming Eagles. The team’s high school riders are preparing to travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for regional competition Nov. 7-8, where they will represent the Screaming Eagles alongside other competitive youth mountain bikers.
