Clarksville, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – September 23 marks the first official day of fall, and many are ready for the cooler temperatures, hayrides, pumpkin patches and other such activities associated with Autumn.
Clarksville-Montgomery County and the surrounding area has several great fall attractions in 2019. Here are some of our favorites:
Apple Orchards
Shade Tree Orchard is just a 30-minute drive from Clarksville. The orchard boasts approximately 90 apple, peach and pear trees to pick from and features a farm store selling treats like cider slushies. Shade Tree is located at 2087 Kinneys Road, Adams, TN, and their hours are Thursday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during season. Check their online calendar for upcoming events.
Coal Creek Orchard features an impressive 50-acre apple orchard and all the decadence that reminds you of Fall. Enjoy apples, cider, slushies, fried pies, cinnamon rolls, caramel sticky buns, caramel apples and more at Coal Creek Orchard located at 22850 Coal Creek Road, Hopkinsville, KY. Jackson Orchard offers pick-your-own options for apples, pumpkins and a variety of vegetables and concessions on their family farm. With activities such as a petting zoo, pony rides, slides, apple inspired food and more. Their 2019 Pumpkin Festival begins Sept. 28 and runs each weekend until the end of October. Jackson Orchard is located at 1280 Slim Island Road, Bowling Green, KY. They are open Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Pumpkin Patches
Boyd’s Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze has been serving up family fun since 1984. They offer a variety of pumpkins, winter squash and a six-acre corn maze to zig-zag through. Located in Clarksville at 1425 Highway 76, they are open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, weather permitting. For more information, visit their website.
Giles Farm plans to open their season on Sunday, Sept. 29 if mother nature allows. They are a 3-acre you-pick pumpkin patch located outside of Hopkinsville. Admission is free and acomes with plenty of fall activities. They are open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 5, 12 and 19 and Sundays, 1 p.m to 5 p.m. on Sept. 29, Oct. 6, 13 and 20. Christian Way Farm, LLC and mini golf is a great place to visit for pumpkin picking, hayrides, petting zoos, acorn maze, mini golf and pizza. Located in Hopkinsville Kentucky, they are open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. until dark. Visit their website for admission prices and a schedule of fall activities.
Haunted Experiences
Clarksville Zombie Hunters returns to Martha’s Chapel Road in Cunningham, Tenn this Friday, September 27. Open every Friday and Saturday through October, this local fall staple features five attractions, including a shooting gallery, dark maze, free Halloween movie screening and, of course, the chance to shoot live ‘zombies’ on the Zombie Mission and Zombie Paintball Hayride. Talon Falls Screampark opens in Melber Ky on Friday, September 27. This horrifying destination includes The Dead End Haunted House, a Sinister 3D Circus, the Blood Creek Hayride and the Talon Falls haunted journey. Fall-tastic Events
Jazz on the Lawn continues on October 5 with R&B performer Tina Brown and on October 19 with the old school R&B/funk group Utopia. The music starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 9:30 p.m. Free wine tasting is available starting at 4 p.m. For more information, visit them online.

APSU G.H.O.S.T.: or “Greater Halloween Options for Safe Trick-or-Treating,” is a longstanding tradition at APSU, sponsored by Student Government Association. October 27, 2019, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fortera Stadium.
Fright on Franklin will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, from 3 to 6 p.m. This downtown Clarksville event offers safe trick-or-treating, costume contests, crafts, activities and much more! Visit local downtown businesses for food, drink and maybe even a treat.
