CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The proposed second Tennova Healthcare satellite ER has been approved for Clarksville, this one on Trenton Road near 101st Airborne Division Parkway.

The Tennessee Health Services and Development Agency has approved Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville’s application to build the satellite hospital, according to a news release on Wednesday.

The 12-inpatient-bed and 14-bay satellite hospital will complement services Tennova provides in its Dunlop Lane hospital, at Tennova ER-Sango and at Tennova Medical Group clinics.

“We appreciate the time and careful consideration by the members of the HSDA and are grateful to our local leaders and community members for their support,” Alex Villa, chief executive officer of Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville, said in the release.

“We understand the area’s diverse healthcare needs and are proud of this opportunity to improve access to care, close to home, for our friends and neighbors.”

The satellite hospital will provide acute inpatient medical and surgical services. Construction should begin in the third quarter of 2022, with a projected opening in early 2024.
