DICKSON, TN (WKRN) – The daughter of Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson has been sentenced to serve at least two decades in prison after she was convicted of abusing a child who was in her care.

On Thursday, a judge in a Dickson County court sentenced Sarah Fuson to serve 20 years on aggravated child abuse and child abuse charges. The case was centered on two surveillance videos at Tylertown Learning Center that reportedly showed Fuson repeatedly slamming a 13-month-old onto a cot while she was employed there in January 2023.

During an October court hearing, doctors testified that there were bruises on the child’s arms, and a CT scan revealed areas that could suggest a “skull fracture or concussion.”

When shown the video footage in court, Fuson agreed that the incidents did “look a little rough,” but she wasn’t “intentionally being rough” with the child.

On Thursday, the judge mentioned that Sarah did not seem remorseful nor had she taken accountability for what she had done until her statement during sentencing.

The proceedings were videotaped and are available for review on the YouTube channel for Judge David Wolfe.
