CLARKSVILLE − Soldiers and Families Embraced (S.A.F.E.) hosted its fourth annual Healing Heroes Golf Tournament on July 19 at Swan Lake Golf Course.
This sold-out tournament was supported by nine event sponsors including Faith Technologies, Cumberland Hall, F&M Bank, Altra Credit Union, US Bank, Drive Planning, Fortera Credit Union, Bill Mace Homes and Keri Gilles. Thirty teams of local first responders, active-duty service members, veterans and community members enjoyed a beautiful day on the course supporting SAFE’s mission.
Food and beverages were donated by Parlor Doughnuts, Black Rifle Coffee, TriStar Beverage, Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling and Servall.
“Not only did the golfers enjoy a friendly competition but this was one of the largest fundraisers in SAFE history! The proceeds from this event are enough to provide 270 hours of counseling which would allow 22 local heroes an entire treatment plan” stated Christina Watson, SAFE’s Executive Director.
SAFE is a local nonprofit provider of free and confidential mental wellness counseling to local first responders, active-duty service members, veterans and their families.
