CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Sabrena Gillespie is running for the Clarksville City Council, Ward 1.
Gillespie, who has lived in Clarksville since 2001 and has been a homeowner in Ward 1 since 2006, is a graduate of Austin Peay State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a minor in Sociology. This November, she will celebrate 30 years of public service with the federal government. She serves in union leadership roles at the local, state, district and regional levels, and she is also a small-business owner.
Gillespie is a mother of three and grandmother of six, all of whom have been educated in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.
She said that amid Clarksville’s tremendous growth, north Clarksville’s Ward 1 continues to face important needs, particularly in infrastructure, affordable housing and facilities and amenities that serve residents of all ages.
“I am running for City Council Ward 1 to be the voice to advocate for residents and ensure their priorities are represented in the decisions that affect our community. We are stronger when we work together.”
