CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Soldiers And Families Embraced (S.A.F.E.) held its annual fundraising breakfast Thursday at Belle Hollow.

Over 100 supporters, many of them veterans, attended to hear retired Lieutenant General Ronald Bailey of the United States Marine Corp., who was the guest speaker. Bailey is VP of External Affairs at Austin Peay State University.

Nelson Boehms of F&M Bank was presented with the annual SAFE Community Hero Award for his service to the organization and the community.

At the breakfast the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Chapter 18-2 made a donation of $7,000 for the organization’s efforts in providing free, confidential, and professional counseling along with other outreach services for active-duty, veterans, and their families.
