CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A common breakfast location for many in Clarksville, and the only place to feature pork brains on the menu, Rudy’s Diner has re-opened their doors in a new location – this time on Riverside Drive – less than a year after closing.
Manager Jonathan Gibbs grew up going to the restaurant with his father and mother, and he sat and played in the office while his family worked. Gibbs didn’t know how beloved the diner was to Clarksville – that is until they closed.
“My grandfather started this business way back when; we have been doing this for 40, 50 years,” Gibbs told Clarksville Now. In March 2023, the diner closed its doors. “My father and I decided we wanted to take a break for a little while.”
Less than a year later, Jonathan and his father decided to bring the diner back to life. But now they needed a new building, since the old one on Madison Street was torn down to make way for Tidal Wave Auto Spa.
“We looked out in the Dickson area, we looked out towards Wilma Rudolph, until we found this place.”
The new location is now open at 601 S. Riverside Drive. Hours of operation are Monday 6 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday-Friday 6 a.m.-8 p.m., Sunday 7 a.m.-2 p.m.
