On a wild and wet 15th Homecoming, Rossview hung on to defeat Dickson County 12-7 in the Gary Mathews Motors High School Game of the week. The win marked the first ever victory by Rossview over Dickson County in football.

After a scoreless first half punctuated by sloppy play, key mistakes in the kicking game, over 100 yards in combined penalties, and a defensive touchdown by Dickson County nullified by a penalty, the second half didn’t disappoint.

Rossview also had a defensive touchdown of their own called back in the second half before Quarterback Jordan Justice broke the ice with a six yard touchdown run late in the third quarter. Rossview would add another score on a 23 yard run by Cardavious Davis to move to a 12-0 lead late in the fourth quarter before Dickson Quarterback Jacob Murphree scored on a six yard run to cut the lead to 12-7 with under two minutes to play.

Rossview moves to 4-2 on the season. Dickson County drops to 2-4.
