COLLIERVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Rossview High Hawks traveled to Collierville High School for a three-game series with the Dragons, and a trip to the state tournament on the line. The two sides had previously split the first two games of the series; however, on Friday, Rossview High captured the victory to upset the number one-ranked team in the state and advance.

“I’m just so happy for our kids,” said Rossview head coach Parker Holman. “I’m proud of the fight that they showed to go into a hostile environment and play the number one team in the state at their park. It was grind-it-out baseball, and I think their true colors and love for each other showed through.”

This is Rossview’s second state tournament appearance in its program’s history. As most know, the only other time they traveled to the state tournament, RHS won it all, the only baseball team in Clarksville’s history to capture a state championship.

Now, the 2025 team will look to recreate magic. The Hawks will begin their state tournament journey next week with a scheduled matchup with the Siegel Stars at Siegel High School on Tuesday.

“I just told our guys to be grateful that we’re playing baseball in the last week that TSSAA will let you play it,” said Holman. “Work hard, have fun, love each other, and let the chips fall where they may.”
