PARIS, TN – The Rossview Hawks soccer team traveled to Henry County High School on Wednesday night for the Region 7-3A championship game against the Patriots. An early goal from Ben Fitting was the difference, as the Hawks won a fifth straight region title in a 1-0 fistfight of a contest.

The Hawks came out guns blazing in hostile territory, with a screamer of a goal from Ben Fitting off the assist of Jay Jardiolin in the ninth minute getting the scoring started. No one else could find the back of the net in the first half in a physical game, and Rossview goalie Pierce Grandy and the Hawks back line were shutting down the hopes of the Patriot offense.

In the second half, it was more of the same. Both teams had chances, but neither could capitalize, as both defensive units were cohesive. When the buzzer sounded, Rossview earned a fifth straight region title, and celebrated with a gold plaque.

Now, the Hawks will have two days off before facing the loser of Houston and Collierville on Saturday in an elimination game, with the right to go state on the line. The Hawks last went to Murfreesboro in 2024, when they defeated Bartlett in a sectional match.
