CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – ESPN Clarksville joins Bojangles in recognizing Kymmalett Ross as the Bojangles APSU Athlete of the Week from Austin Peay State University. The Track and Field Student Athlete has had an outstanding season for her senior year.
Ross actually made APSU history February 12 after posting a 24.37 200m dash mark, winning the fourth heat at the Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt University. She lowered her school record by nearly two-tenths of a second.
That happened just two weeks after posting APSU’s all-time best in the event at the Thundering Herd Invitational. She also just missed an entry into the 60m dash finals, finishing 12th overall with a 7.68 mark, less than a tenth of a second away from a qualifying mark.
Ross is the daughter of Kimberlee and Cornelius Ross and attended Northwest High School where she was a record breaking sprinter. Her sister Keyondria, an APSU freshman is also on the track team.
The Governors Track and Field team WILL hold their final indoor meet before the OVC Indoor Championships at the Buckeye Tune-Up hosted by Ohio State February 20.
Congratulations goes out to Kymmalett Ross our ESPN Clarksville, BoJangles APSU Athlete of the Week.
