Rolando Mendez age 44 of Clarksville, TN, passed away as a result of an automobile accident on Sunday May 16, 2021.
He was born November 29, 1976 in Chicago, Ill., the son of Carlos Mendez and Maria Barajas Mendez of Sulphur Springs, TX.
Rolando was currently an educational assistant at Richview Middle School. He was continuing his education to become a middle school science teacher. He had also been a certified automotive technician as well as a locksmith. Mendez earned his bachelor’s degree at Austin Peay State University. He had also developed an interest in photography and was a founding member of the Affiliated Car Club.
He was known as a friend who never met a stranger and enjoyed helping others. He will be remembered as the best friends to his children. Rolando is a member of the Oak Grove Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, his wife of 25 years Natashya Bennett Mendez of Clarksville; and his children Lilliana Jannae’ Morgan (Jennifer) of Clarksville, Jasmin Alicia Mendez of Cleveland, TN and Rolando Mendez Jr. of Clarksville. He is also survived by his brother Jorge Mendez of Chicago, one niece and one nephew.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday May 20, 2021 at 6 p.m. at the Clarksville Seventh – Day Adventist Church located at 1230 Northfield Drive in Clarksville. Pastor Floyd Harmon will officiate. Visitation will be for the hour prior to services at the church.
