Robert Winn Mobley, 98, of Clarksville, TN, died Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center. He was born on August 27, 1914 in Christian County, KY to the late John Wesley Mobley and Annie Mae Hutchison Mobley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Hayes Mobley; four brothers, J.W. Mobley, Edgar Mobley, Howard Mobley, and Charles Mobley; and two sisters, Mary Emma Mobley Evans and Annie Mae Mobley Gray.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. and Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Mobley was a 70+ year member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville and a member of The Baraca Class. He retired from the maintenance department with the City of Clarksville.
He is survived by two daughters, Sara (Terry) Ellis and Betty Jane (John) Parker of Clarksville, TN; five grandchildren, Sabrina (Mark) Hester, Rusty (Kathy) Ellis, Winn (Cindee) Ellis, Troy (Stephanie) Parker, and Robert Parker; ten great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of The Baraca Class of First Baptist Church of Clarksville.
