Robert (Bob) Lee Frimel, age 68, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014, at Gateway Medical Center.
He was born March 10, 1946, in Centralia, IL, to the late Lee Frimel and Dortha Day Frimel.
Robert was a retired mechanical engineer with TVA. He was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church, a former member of the Cunningham Volunteer Fire Department, C.A.T.S. Ham Radio Club, CERT, and a lifetime member of the Odin, IL Masonic Lodge.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Ben Falls officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26 and on from noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Robert is survived by his wife of 42 years, Katherine Lyle Frimel; daughter, Emily Frimel Giles, of Clarksville; son, Heath Lee Frimel, of Clarksville; three sisters, Nancy (Johnny) Matthews, of Clarksville, Mary (Jimmie Earl) McKinzie, of Washington, IL, and Becky (Greg) Mann, of Clarksville; and five grandchildren, Payton Elizabeth Frimel, Heath Lee Frimel II, Colby Mekhi Frimel, Justin Curtis Lee Giles, and Anakin Eli Joseph Frimel.
Pallbearers will be Robert Matthews, Sam Matthews, Curt Mann, Tim Joyner, Jason Giles, William Davis, Jeff Davidson, and Stephen Corlew.
