CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Two suspects accused of armed robbery in Clarksville are facing additional charges.
Police said Rico Mallory and William Carter have both been charged with burglary in connection with a break-in at Clarksville Auto Sales that occurred between Aug. 12 and 13, 2018. The warrants were served to the men in jail.
Police said the suspects broke a window at Clarksville Auto Sales and stole car keys, vehicle titles, dealer plates, and cash. Four vehicles were stolen from the dealership, and all but a 2014 Dodge Charger have been recovered.
In addition, Mallory and Carter were arrested Friday, September 14 after a series of armed robberies in the area that resulted in a police chase and a crash. When the suspects crashed the getaway car, Carter was caught immediately but Mallory escaped and carjacked a woman whose dog was still in the vehicle.
Mallory was found and arrested late Friday night and the dog, who had been dumped in Oak Grove, was returned safely to its family.
Police said additional charges are expected for Mallory and Carter.
