CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – If you want to start off the new year with a good time and some good music, here’s an idea for you, head over to the 50+ Activity Center in Clarksville. Two Saturday night dances are scheduled for January, one for Jan. 1, and another for Jan. 8.
On New Year’s Day, Scotty Richardson and the Showdown Band will perform from 7- 9:30 p.m., and on Jan. 8 from 7-9:30 p.m. it’s Ray Ward and the Friendship Band. Admission to the dances is $7, and you do not have to be a Senior Center member to attend.
Marketing Coordinator Jan Holleman said this about dances at the 50+ Activity Center.
“The dances at the senior center feature different live country and classic rock bands. Our members and guests who attend have a great evening enjoying food, fun, and live entertainment,” said Holleman.
There is a potluck during intermission for the shows, and everyone is invited to participate by bringing finger food, snacks, desserts and drinks to share. Coffee and water are provided.
