Rev. Harold Austin Shoulders LCD (Ret) U.S. Navy, age 95, of Clarksville passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at Signature Healthcare.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Robertson and Rev. Dennis Pulley officiating. Burial will follow at Orlinda Methodist Church Cemetery.
The Shoulders family will receive friends from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the hour of service.
Harold entered this life on November 8, 1923 in Orlinda, TN to the late Edgar and Mary Austin Shoulders. He served in World War II as a Radioman, and later as a chaplain rising to rank of Lieutenant Commander. He was an ordained Baptist minister. Harold graduated from Georgetown College. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. He served as the former director of Cumberland Baptist Association, and was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Shoulders; sons, Stephen and Scott Shoulders; grandchildren, Kathryn and Christopher Alexander.
