Update, 4:25 p.m.: Clarksville Fire Rescue was dispatched to Billy Dunlop Park at 1:28 p.m. for a report of a missing 11-year-old child. Their first unit arrived within one minute, at 1:29 p.m., and immediately began searching the river area next to the park.
At 2:44 p.m., Clarksville Fire Rescue personnel recovered the child from the water.
Update, 3:25 p.m.: The body of the young girl was found and removed from the creek at about 2:42 p.m., Beaubien said.
Billy Dunlop Park, Robert Clark Park and the Blueway will continue to be shut down until further notice.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A young girl is missing in Big West Fork Creek at Billy Dunlop Park.
At about 1:26 p.m., witnesses reported seeing the girl go under the water near the metal bridge, and several adults were in the water trying to help locate the child, said Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.
Clarksville Police are assisting Clarksville Fire Rescue and Montgomery County EMS with the water rescue. For safety, Billy Dunlop Park, Robert Clark Park, and the Blueway are temporarily closed until further notice.
This is the second time this year a child has gone missing in the creek at Billy Dunlop Park. On May 18, a 12-year-old boy disappeared while swimming in the same area. After a five-day search that was hampered by severe thunderstorms, the child’s body was found less than a mile downstream.
