Hopkinsville, KY. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) An incident involving two Hopkinsville Middle School students and a possible threat Thursday was investigated by Hopkinsville Police. The students reportedly were writing down teachers and students names and writing the word “kill” beside the names.

Hopkinsville Police Department spokesman, Officer Paul Ray, said the students told school officials and police that it was just a game. “That was looked into as far as a terroristic threatening incident and one student was charged with 3rd Degree
Terroristic Threatening,” said Ray.

Ray said the charges came through the Court Designated Workers office. “There was no immediate showing of any type of force or deadly force to be used by this student when they wrote the word kill down beside these names, “Ray said.

Ray added that there were no students or teachers in danger and no weapons were involved but Ray said it was still taken seriously because it happened during school.
